Tax Refund

Tax Refund

Didn't find your answer?

A client has received a tax refund paid direct to him despite ticking the box and giving all details for the refund to be paid to me as his agent.

This client has not paid me. Court acion/bailiff make no difference as the bailiff cannot find him.

Can I sue the Revenue?
Obviously not but why can't they get these things right?

It really is annoying especially when tax payers face hefty fines for getting things wrong.

Never forget
that whatever is ticked on the return the taxpayer may, without consulting you, revoke that instruction by directly notifying HMRC subsequent to the submission of the return. Seen that happen a few times.
