Tax Return On line Filling not received by IR

Tax Return On line Filling not received by IR

Didn't find your answer?

Hello All,

Has anybody had any problem with submitting on line tax return, the revenue says that they haven't received it even though receiving confirmation via gateway that it has been submitted.

While double checking with the tax office today for several clients it has come to light that the tax office hasn't received the online S.A.

When spoke to IR they gave me the technical support number for on line submission which the latter comfirmed that they have received it.

The techinical support department gave me a case reference number to give to the Inland Revenue but when I rang the Inland revenue to give the reference number they told me there's nothing they can do but to again contact technical support. So I've been back and forth with no result so far
.
Any advise of where to complain or what to do next.

Ben

two accounts with HMRC?
I have had something similar where clients have received penalties for late submission of tax return forms filed online, it has come to light that HMRC have two SA accounts set up on their system one under the UTR reference and the other under their NINO.

Perhaps it would be worth checking to see if this is the case?

online filing
We had the same problem with a return filed back on april 10th.
We made many phone calls to tax office and tech helpline.
It took from then to 14th May to sort out.
In the end we asked to speak to the Manager on the tech desk quoting our origal case number and lodged a complaint.

This seemed to do the trick, just one more small hiccup after that, the repayment was not dealt with, so had to chase for that as well.

There is obviously a fault somewhere, so now we have to check online with each return to see if their website is updated with the receipt of the return.

Good luck and patience
