We have a company director who is working on 6 month contract 200 miles from his home. He is currently living in rental accommodation. Is there a limit to what he can claim for rent and rates and utilities? many Thanks

Probably OK
Have a look at Rebecca Benneyworth's article Travel still tricky for company directors and in particular, at her answer to my question on accommodation and subsistence.
I think her advice is that, provided there is no private use of the accommodation, the rent and utilities should be deductible in full, but it would be better if the company paid the bills direct.
