Is there a way to make VT work on a Mac?

Is there a way to make VT work on a Mac?

Didn't find your answer?

I am encouraging clients to do their own bookkeeping. This is working well by clients using VT.

I have one client in the creative field who will not touch a pc she loves her Mac. Is there a way to make VT work on a pc? If not can you suggest alternative software (not online) that would work on a Mac.

Thanks

Parallels?

I don't use Macs but I was under the impression you can run most if not all Windows software via Parallels.

VT on Macs

 I use VT and Macs....

The solution is either to install a version of Windows on the Mac O SX Bootcamp partition so the Mac can boot in Windows and run Windows software as a Pc or to install VT on a Windows laptop.

You may need to check, but I think Bootcamp only works on an Intel based Mac like my iMac.

When installed, you can switch between Mac OS X and Windows in Applications > System > Utilities > Startup

Help on Bootcamp is available from the Apple web site - or just type 'Mac Bootcamp' in to Google

The other software is a virtual drive - Parallel and VMWare etc - that costs about £70 that runs in a window on the Mac destop. It's slow, cumbersome and buggy. I gave up on it during the free trial period.

Bootcamp is a free add-in to the Mac OS X but the Windows software isn't...

SaaS products

I know you're using VT, and the earlier answers deal with how to handle that (Remember - the mentioned tools like Parallels and Bootcamp are not a magic way of making Windows apps work on the Mac operating system, they're a way of making Windows run on a Mac, which then means the Windows apps can be used inside that copy of Windows - you need to buy a copy of Windows as well.

Cloud based bookkeeping products don't care what they are accessed on - they work the same on PC or Mac. (or Linux, or iPad or whatever).

VMWare Fusion

Hi

I use VmWare Fusion it means Windows 7 is a window within your mac  And you do not have to use bootcamp .  Your windows is working the same time as your mac.  My VmWare was 52 pounds and it is not slow or cumbersome .
