Time to employ a Solicitor?

Time to employ a Solicitor?

Didn't find your answer?

Consider requesting that a Solicitor be the one to forward letters and documents to a mutual client but that any tax planning ideas be that of practitioner in oder to gain legal privilege. Assuming the practitioner could resolve with the solicitor, the client and his insurance company that any negligence claims were that of the practitioner would this effectively afford him/herself the right of legal privilege? Ignoring the cost of course.

also important to understand ...

... that you do not get the benefit of LPP simply by passing correspondence through a solicitor.

It doesn't work like that.

Following the changes announce 6th Oct, the obligation to report schemes passes down the line to the client in cases where legal professional priviledge is claimed by the promoter.
