Tolerance

Tolerance

Didn't find your answer?

Does anyone know of an Excel formula / IF statement which will accept figures within a tolerance range, even though the answer is not precisely mathematically correct; e.g.

.............and upwards Reject
£100 x 17.5% = £17.56 Reject
£100 x 17.5% = £17.55 Accept
£100 x 17.5% = £17.54 Accept
£100 x 17.5% = £17.53 Accept
£100 x 17.5% = £17.52 Accept
£100 x 17.5% = £17.51 Accept
£100 x 17.5% = £17.50 Accept [mathematical true position]
£100 x 17.5% = £17.49 Accept
£100 x 17.5% = £17.48 Accept
£100 x 17.5% = £17.47 Accept
£100 x 17.5% = £17.46 Accept
£100 x 17.5% = £17.45 Accept
£100 x 17.5% = £17.44 Reject
.......and downwards Reject
