We have recently merged a number of our companies - some of the companies had pension schemes, some didn't and others paid into numerous different personal pensions - in order to effectively harmonise benefits we are currently thinking of stopping the occupational schemes and setting up a GPP instead.
I'd really appreciate any feedback you may have on the pros and cons of moving to a different pension set-up, especially bearing in mind the new pensions simplification legislation that's due to come into effect from April 2006.
