A client has repaid a mortage on a spanish holiday home - due to the movement in the pound/euro they have paid back in pounds considerablly more than they borrowed .
Apart from learning a lesson in only borrowing in a currency that you earn money or have funds in, is there any thing positive they can take out of this -- claiming a capital loss for instance ?
