I am currently trying to source a software product that will allow a client to view his business accounts over the web. He runs four distinct businesses and is always on the move. He therefore needs a service which can upload from the accounting software onto a secure website where he can access the information.
Does anyone know of such software or of a ompany that can provide the solution?

Accounting Applications from an ASP
Look at http://www.iFuel.com
They are an ASP and can provide SunSystems or Accounting Office over the web.
You don't buy - you rent.
Damgaard Axapta is ERP and E-Business in one
For a truely web enabled package, have a look at www.damgaard.com
Damgaard Axapta was written for the web from the start!

Try Dragnet
Hi AB,
Dragnet used to advertise on accountingweb a few weeks ago and we are one of their partner resellers. It links in with 90% of accounting packages out there & is very user-friendly.
Please call me for more information & I can arrange a demonstration at short notice.

Try AccountView Business Software
AccountView offers a multi company EBA or Enterprise Business Application that can provide COM for a direct connection through a firewall to the web server. If you don't want a direct web connection, then daily XML output can be produced and uploaded to a web site via normal FTP transfer protocols.
See www.rcl-systems.co.uk web site for further details.
Some questions
What is your definition of business accounts ?
- is this just reporting P&L's, etc, or does it include more, such as detailed trading, customer matrix
What do you really mean by "view over the web" ?
- many products can enable reports to be saved in html and therefore are in a format easily posted to a password protected part of a web site. You could spend £1K doing this, but you could spend £100K doing this
How interactive is this "view" ?
- ie, I want to drill down onto information or I'll look at it and ask for more reports
where is your client viewing from ?
- all over the world, just the UK, etc, etc
