Weight Watchers leaders

Didn't find your answer?

I'm really confused at how WW leaders are regarded as self employed.

When running through the status indicators, everything ticks the box as employed, they are told where their meetings are (no control), the halls are booked by WW and paid directly by WW, their stock is owned and insured by WW, if they can't do a meeting they can ask another leader but couldn't get someone who isn't a leader, WW pay for all their training (with a small deposit which they get back), they get paid per meeting and can be moved on by WW if they don't perform, they even get bonuses, there is no financial risk as even helpers are paid via meeting fees before they get their money and the amount the helpers get paid is laid down by Weightwatchers.

How on earth are they getting away with being self employed? Does anyone know?

It being 1 April . . .

there is only a slim chance of them being found out - especially if they stand sideways!
