What is a Run Time error and how do I get rid of it?

What is a Run Time error and how do I get rid...

Didn't find your answer?

The message continues to say 'Line 770 SymReal/Win Open is undefined'.
I am using Windows XP and Explorer 6.
I know this isn't an accounting question but any advice would be appreciated.
Thanks.

Finally rid of it
I took the advice given and informed eBay of the problem. To my surprise they came back pretty quickly with instructions on how to delete the cookies, cache and offline files on my pc.
This has definitely sorted out the problem.

It's caused by Norton
The error message is one that comes from Symantec's Norton suite - prob Personal Firewall or Antivirus. The clue is the error message starts with "Sym".

When you open a web page from an http source - ie http://www..... Norton protects you from script errors by adding a function that runs when the window has been fully opened.

After saying that, a number of things could have caused the error. One possibility is if you opened the page from your file system (ie not http://www..... but c:\my documents etc)

I've got rid of it!
Thanks for the advice.
I have had a look in the msconfig and cannot find anything suspicious.
Can you suggest what sort of thing I should be looking for?
Thanks

Run-time Errors
David,
These errors can occur when you use a differnt version fo the software thatn what was loaded on when the program last accessed it. Eg You restored from a back-up disk either the prog or the data, or you re-installed your prog.
Sometimes, also a program that sits in background like Real Player can cause probs.
if you click on Start, Run, type in Msconfig and see what is in your various start-up and resident files that you may not need, may help you to cure it. You can tick or untick whichever you suspect is causing the hassle and click on clean and apply. Then do a re-boot and see if the error still exists. Hoefully, not!
