There have been a number of questions about finding and generating new enquiries on the board recently.
I feel that referrals and networking are key to generating enquiries.
Outside of the traditional referral triangle of accountants, banks and solicitors I have found commercial letting agents and printers are often a good regular source of referral work.
What are your experiences / suggestions?

Bank managers - I have had so much business from local business bank managers.
It really surprised me the amount of work which I got from all the high street banks, even those I dont bank with!
When I set up my practice I made a point of contacting the local managers and explained what I was doing, and the services I offer, and work has flowed in. I dont think many other accountants do this?
The idea of work from printers is an interesting one...hadnt thought of that one.
