Windows Vista

Windows Vista

Didn't find your answer?

I was thinking of getting another pc with Vista. Quite a few of my clients have bought pc's with this os, and they are not impressed.

As the questions re Vista were first asked about 31.01.07 (after using the search facility on accountingweb), what are your thoughts on Vista now it has been available for about 18 months? What are its strengths/weaknesses/ glitches etc?

I think when the software was first launched, there were some issues regarding its ability (or lack of) connnecting to the internet. Have these issues been addressed?

What is Vista like for networking?

Members thoughts please?

I Hate It and Love It..!

Having worked happily on XP for so long I attempted the transition to Vista some four months ago. My 12 year old daughter liked Vista immediately, whilst I initially had strong reservations. I have now come to like it. I rarely use my XP machine now at all.

Windows Vista
I was so unhappy with Vista that Dell sent XP disc to replace it.

This replacement was done because of the sheer number of people complaining about vista. The fact that microsoft made the replacement option available will tell its own story.

I am happy now that I have changed operating systems.

Take my word for it - Vista is horrible, don't go near it.

No.
I would not buy Vista for a business PC.

In the main, this view is due to program compatability and things not working.

As a home user, there's not a lot wrong with it, but I am sticking with XP for business use.

No
Don't like Vista at all, it hasn't improved and I would try and avoid it wherever possible
