Apps use double that of mobile web

The typical user of a Google Android-powered smartphone spends 56 minutes a day using apps or the mobile web, research from Nielsen Smartphone Analytics has found.
Two-thirds of that time is spent using apps but Nielsen found that just a few apps are dominating.
Perhaps more surprising is despite the hundreds of thousands of apps available for the mobile operating system, a very small proportion of apps make up the vast majority of time spent.
