Autorickshaw driver's daughter tops ICAI exams

 

While passing accountancy exams with flying colours is a dream for any student, for one Indian girl it meant more than that.

The daughter of an autorickshaw driver in Mumbai, 24-year-old Prema Jayakumar came first in the All India Chartered Accountancy exams.

Jayakumar received 607 out of 800 marks in the challenging exams, with her 22-year-old brother also passing them with top marks.

It must be a very proud day for her and her family.

 

It's always good to see people progressing on the basis of their merits rather than 'who-you-know'.
