On 6 November AccountingWEB will host the Practice Excellence Conference in London to set a new benchmark for delivering practical, focused support for busy practitioners.

Building on our successful Practice Excellence Programme, the conference sets out a roadmap to steer firm managers towards more effective leadership, internal processes and excellence in client service.

Unlike many accountancy events, the Practice Excellence Conference will be structured around practical workshops on four core themes:

  • Skills: the foundation of a modern practice
  • Focusing on your ideal client
  • Building advisory services: Case studies from Practice Excellence Award winners
  • Technology: How to grow your practice in a digital world.

Delegates will get their own handbook to log the learning and development they gain on the day, and you can set your own agenda by choosing sessions that align with what you most want to achieve in your firm. If you want to attend more than one of the workshops at the same time, bring a colleague (or colleagues) so you can cover more sessions and share your insights afterwards!

According to AccountingWEB editor John Stokdyk, there comes a point when improving practice performance becomes less a matter of investing resources than in developing a culture within the firm and mechanisms to ensure the core values are communicated and shared with staff and clients.

The Practice Excellence Conference is all about finding those insights and connecting them up to have a positive impact on your team and its clients.

“If they’re being honest, most practitioners know what they should be doing to break out of the rut and grow their firms. But like going on a diet or taking regular exercise, it’s something a lot of them find incredibly hard to do,” said John Stokdyk.

“The philosophy behind the Practice Excellence Conference is based on what we already know on AccountingWEB: the best way for accountants to learn and grow is to get their inspiration and ideas from each other. We’ve designed this event so that delegates can come up with their own solutions by talking to each other.”

The Practice Excellence Conference takes place on Thursday 6 November at Dexter House, Royal Mint court, London  EC3N 4LP. It will be followed by a drinks reception and the Practice Excellence Awards ceremony. The cost for the day is £99 per delegate - order your tickets now from the Practice Excellence Conference website.
