Former accountant accused of £7.7m fraud

Former Plymouth chartered accountant Simon Grinter has been charged with 65 fraud offences totalling £7.7m, Plymouth Crown Court heard.

In October, 55-year-old foreign exchange trader Grinter faced a court charged with 55 counts of fraud. He now faces 10 more similar to those already accused in a trial that will resume in February.

Grinter was arrested in June last year after an investigation by the Financial Investigation Unit.
