A former senior manager at Deloitte's Manchester office has been jailed for five years after he was found guilty of sex trafficking.

Kunal Chaudhary, who is 32 and lived in Didsbury, Manchester, was convicted of conspiracy to traffic persons into the UK for sexual exploitation, conspiracy to control prostitution and concealing criminal property.

The Manchester Evening News reported how the accountant led a "double-life" and was secretly part of a criminal gang that tricked mostly Hungarian women into coming to Britain.

Many applied online for what they believed were administrative, cleaning and babysitting jobs, the newspaper reported.

Vishal and Kunal Chaudhary, along with three other accomplices, were arrested in early 2013.

Kunal Chaudhary denied any wrongdoing but was found guilty after a trial.

Vishal Chaudhary, from London, was jailed for 12 years.

When sentencing the men in Croydon Crown Court, Judge Gower, said the jail terms "reflect the misery, degradation and humiliation suffered by the victims”.

A Deloitte spokesperson told the Manchester Evening News: “Kunal Chaudhary is a former employee of the firm. The police have made it clear that these terrible offences were not in any way connected with his employment at Deloitte.

"As soon as the charges were confirmed he was suspended without pay and following his conviction he was summarily dismissed without notice.”

Butlins
6 years, that will be 2 years in an open prison and released to continue his middle class lifestyle? Justice is a joke in this country.
