iPad 2 winner revealed in TaxCalc survey
David Darrell-Lambert, of DMS Consulting, has won an iPad2 after taking part in TaxCalc’s Self Assessment support survey.
When contacted by AccountingWEB to give him the good news, Darrell-Lambert said he was “a bit speechless and very appreciative,” adding “I'm looking forward to downloading some accounting apps.”
Darrell-Lambert runs a self-employed business, DMS Consulting, where he helps a number of companies produce management accounts and install new software.
Having previously worked in a tax department where he handled up to 350 SA returns per year, he now takes care of just a handful of returns for people he knows. Darrell-Lambert used the HMRC SA Helpline for support in the run up to the deadline to get an updated statement of account and was satisfied with the service he received.
The aim of the TaxCalc-sponsored survey was to assess how HMRC and individual software vendors were living up to their claims during SA season.
