KPMG and F1 group McLaren have partnered  up to apply McLaren Applied Technologies’ (MAT) predictive analytics and technology to the firm's audit and advisory services.

The 10-year agreement will see the Big Four firm join up its audit and consulting services with McLaren's data technology, which they have developed over a number of years to hone their performance on the track.

MAT and KPMG will now work together to jointly develop and deliver a range of advisory services.

KPMG's UK chairman Simon Collins said the firm will first work with MAT on a select number of clients. It will then seek to apply what it has learned across its wider client base.

"We believe this specialist knowledge has the power to radically transform audit, improving quality and providing greater insight to management teams, audit committees and investors.

"The same is true of our advisory services, where we believe applying McLaren’s predictive analytics and know-how to, for example, a complex international supply chain, could help our clients make a step change in the service they provide to their customers," he said.

MAT is currently being used in a number of industries including healthcare, pharmaceuticals, energy, transportation and consumer brands.
