KPMG recruits Barclays cyber crime expert

KPMG has recruited a former Barclays Bank information risk managing director as a partner in its information protection and business resilience practice.

Stephen Bonner joined KPMG after eight years with Barclays, where he built up a global information risk management team that dealt with IT security and data privacy. His work there attracted several industry awards, including recognition as an inductee to the InfoSec Hall of Fame in 2010.

With expertise in cyber crime, Bonner will help clients - including those in financial services - to understand electronic threats and manage the increasingly complex regulatory environment, said Malcolm Marshall, KPMG’s head of information protection and business resilience.
