MP to be charged with false accounting

The Crown Prosecution Service (CPS) has announced that former MP Denis MacShane is to be charged with false accounting over £13,000 of expense claims.

In a statement on their website, the CPS said that MacShane must appear at Westminister Magistrates’ Court on 30 July to face a single charge.
