Record numbers participate in client survey

Clients have completed more than 3,500 surveys in this year’s Practice Excellence Programme (PEP), marking it as the biggest sample of client satisfaction research across the profession.

The phenomenal response to the survey phase of the programme, which has now officially closed, gives us a significant basis on which to assess how well not just individual firms, but the profession as a whole is doing.

More than 125 participating firms will have access to a free report which will include the basic survey results.

For the free reports on average 23 people completed each survey, providing 21 comments and 12 testimonials.

Firms that have already opted for the full benchmarking report received 49 items of feedback on average, including 46 comments and 26 testimonials.

Those who opt for the enhanced benchmarking report will see copies of all the comments along with extended commentary on overall market trends and comparatives with their own segment.

A more detailed analysis of the results will follow next week.

In terms of the next stage in the process, the top 10 firms in each category will be invited to make their case to a panel of judges.

The judges will then shortlist their top three for a final vote by the AccountingWEB community.

The awards and analysis, which are being sponsored by Sage, Xero and Intuit, will be presented at webinars in the autumn.
