Entries will shortly open for AccountingWEB’s 2014 Practice Excellence Awards which celebrate excellence and best practice from across the profession.

The countdown has started to find out whether your hard work and commitment will be recognised by the UK’s most rigorous and acclaimed accountancy awards programme.

Now in their fourth year, the SAP-supported awards will officially launch in two weeks’ time and look set to be bigger and better than ever before.

With an expanded set of categories this year, firms and individuals who go the extra mile will be recognised in the following categories:

  • Small Practice of the Year
  • Medium Practice of the Year
  • Large Practice of the Year
  • Unqualified/Trainee of the Year
  • Innovative Firm of the Year
  • Practice Growth of the Year
  • Technology Champion of the Year
  • Client Payroll Champion of the Year

Entrants will be asked to submit short written forms that, together with other relevant evidence, will be used by our expert panel of judges to select the winners.

Awards sponsors SAP commented: “We know exactly how important accountants are to helping businesses grow and we want to do all we can to support that.

“That’s our business too and we’re focused on developing technology innovations that not only help businesses run like never before, but also improve the lives of people everywhere.”

Register your interest now by completing a short form and we will contact you once entry is formally open.

The awards fit into the overall Practice Excellence Programme – a three-pronged initiative to help you zero in on what it takes to run a successful accountancy firm in 2014 and beyond.

The other two components of the programme include a Client Satisfaction Recognition Scheme and the Practice Excellence Conference allowing you to prepare for future growth.

Entrants can participate in all three or each element separately depending on what suits your firm. Firms that gain recognition in the Client Satisfaction Recognition Scheme can also use the results as supporting evidence if they enter the Practice Excellence Awards.

Throughout the summer the programme will continue with articles and advice aimed at helping more firms achieve excellence, culminating at the conference on 6 November, where we will announce the award winners.

Take a sneak peek now and prepare for your awards application by downloading the category questions.
