The local primary school is now called a "community" school and the lamp-posts round here even sport shiny signs pointing people towards it. Now the local fire station has a lagre sign , no doubt erected at a cost of several hundred pounds or more, advising us that it is a "community" fire station. Does anybody out there in the beancounting community (sorry for use of word) know what this is about , how much it costs in re-signing and whether there is any financial advantage to it ?
I suspect it is a bit like the days when people rushed to add ".com" to everything .
