Can the profession learn from David Cameron ?

I am not alone in noticing that Mr Cameron has hardly sounded inspiring at the hustings , which is odd indeed .

It may well be that this is natural demeanour and it may serve him well outwith an election campaign like none other in living memory but did I detect a change in tone and urgency to his message in the last day or so ?

Many of us beancounters ,a pejorative term but still used 40 years after its famous Monty Python appearance, are lacking inspiration and passion when handling clients . If you can't show  (or feign ) interest in them especially when showing them how to expand their enterprises , it's little wonder that the "beancounter" term has stuck. Worse, still, you aren't translating your enthusiasm to the marketplace.

Time for a makeover or shift up in emotional gear  - but unlike Mr Cameron you have the luxury of time on your side

Opinion Polls

Perhaps he is relying on the opinion polls understating the conservative vote as they always do.

However it does seem odd that they are not blowing their trumpet a bit louder on all the good news in the economy. Perhaps Mr Cameron is a bit tired of the constant media spotlight - can't we have some other ministers in front of the cameras? Cameron is not a one man practice - he has the luxury of a diverse team all of whom should be showing some interest and engaging with the voter.
