Here, for your consideration this weekend is another five observations from my work in and with the accounting profession this week.

1. There is much pent-up frustration in the business community when the promised 'pre-year end meeting' fails to materialise. Keep the faith by keeping the promise.

2. Logic informs, emotion influences. That's a good rule of thumb to remember when executing your marketing strategy in terms of how decision to meet with you and your firm are made.

3. Progress in your fee growth is neither automatic nor inevitable. Effective marketing is the largest contributor to controlled growth. Referrals can't be forecast accurately.

4. When you combine proactive prowess with high moral character, you can market your firm as one of the world's greatest without contradiction as most firms do not possess these qualities at leadership level.

5. The best hope of a business owner's successful start up/project/exit remains in the hands of the most caring and proactive accountants.

To Your Continued Success!
