Some of you may identify with me. You know you are fat. At the same time you have a certain image about yourself. That image you may think (I do) it's bad but not that bad.

You also have great clothes in your wardrobe. Somehow you just make yourself believe that some of those will fit even though you have piled on the pounds in recent weeks.

I am off to Norwich tomorrow for franchisor visit. I think it is customary to make an effort and dress formally. I tried on my suits that I would normally wear in front of a full length mirror with lighting that can only described as a total bitch. There is perception and there is reality! Do you get my meaning?

Not a good sight at present. It will improve in time. I need an improvement for tomorrow! Whoever said patience is a virtue was out of their mind. There is just no time for patience. I want it now!

Make room fat man walking!

Hopefully car journey will put me in a better frame of mind. Leaving at 6am to avoid the heavy traffic. Can't sleep hence this blog.

Safe journey ...

... wave to my late Nan's sister in law as you pass Attleborough, she is knocking on 100 years old - life is good out there, gentle pace of life, fresh air and healthy food.

And take some good music so you don't start munching to relieve the boredom

I have a similar problem

But I have been losing weight and doing a lot of exercise so I am too small for a lot of my clothes.

Having said that I have never been anybody who got too excited about clothes - I'm not a nudist or anything like that.

"I am off to Norwich tomorrow for franchisor visit. I think it is customary to make an effort and dress formally."

Why do you think that? It's your money they are after not your clothes. You've given one lot your money now it's the turn of another lot to try to take it. You only need to take a small safe stuffed with £50 notes. I'm sure they wont complain.

At the last Digita conference I attended they had a gala dinner and I hired formal wear rather than buy something suitable. I didn't even have to wash it afterwards.

As an introvert ...

... you couldn't pay me to attend a gala dinner.

Also, I have no desire (sorry Shirley) to dress as a penguin. Whilst some men do undoubtably look dashing and dapper in best bib and tucker, many certainly don't, me included. That said, I respect other people so would not turn up to a formal dinner in a lounge suit, I think it better to not go than to go and insult people (and also, as an introvert I wouldn't want to draw attention to myself).

I agree

But seeing as Digita invited me to the conference it would be churlish to go and not attend the dinner. The company and food was good so I was happy enough even if the dress required wasn't my style.

shucks ...

... you've made me blush.

Being an introvert doesn't mean you are shy or don't have opinions, just means you don't like pretence, which is prevalent at social gatherings in equal quantities to the bullshit!
