In just 6 months, 2015 will be over? I know you have heard it before, time flies!

May was an eventful month. My employee left to earn more and to improve his career prospects. I like to think I played some part in his improved opportunities. As you know, he started with me as an intern and progressed from here.

I am now left with an intern who works 3 days a week. So far, I am okay. I have not decided which way to go as regards to replacing my ex-employee. I have found a sub-contractor. He will come in one day a week. I will see how it works out.

Our office is looking great now. It is branded. We have marked our territory. It is also big enough to cope with the expansion.

Our printed brochure has gone down well. There were a few occasions that I saw people in our office block reception reading it. It felt great!

The pavement sign is looking good. I feel a bit like a newsagent, taking it out every morning. Does it cheapen our brand? I do not think so. Having a gold plated sign would NOT have the same impact. We are not gold plated sign type of practice. Let’s not beat around the bush. It is pile it high and sell it cheap approach. Of course, sell it with a little style.

I got my City and Guilds Level 3 Diploma in Social Media for Business. Has it added value to my business? No. I have not got round to using social media marketing.

I am back to working 5 days a week. In reality, it is six days. I end up going to the office on Saturdays as well.

May was not any different to any other months. I would put May at 7 out of 10. I am pleased about many aspects of my business life.

Pile it high, sell it cheap

You don't seem to have any issue piling it high but does your ability to service these clients, both existing & new based on your own distaste for dealing with such banal work and your lack of any sort of contracted labour force not worry you?

Realistically, both your "workers" could simply not turn up tomorrow or ever again for that matter.
