... if I have to guess where the clue is, and go searching AWeb to find out what you are talking about. How was I supposed to know you were writing a series?
... I just chuck thoughts down on my blog, up to the reader what they make of them. If they don't understand them without explanation they probably don't need to.
Don't worry Shirley, I had to trawl back through his posts too. I thought it was going to be about the BBC series The Musketeers but sadly not that interesting.
I always thought that a public blog was aimed at the reader. If you don't care whether anyone understands, or even reads, your posts then why do a public blog?
Is to allow the reader/listener to understand what you are talking about without placing undue onus on them to do research
Otherwise it is a complete waste of time & moreover people will be less inclined to read your comments in the future - life is just too short to decode cryptic blogs
You make 3 incorrect assumptions That I am trying to communicate; My time is not wasted, if others is has no concern for me;That I care whether people read what I write or not
Though it bores me repeating myself, if anyone didn't understand the OP without further explanation, then this thread is not for them.
That I am trying to communicate – clearly this is questionable – otherwise then why bother to blog in the first place – just keep your thoughts to yourself
My time is not wasted, if others is has no concern for me – what an incredibly selfish attitude – being prepared to waste others time for your own gratification
That I care whether people read what I write or not – then don’t write it on a public blog
‘.. if anyone didn't understand the OP without further explanation, then this thread is not for them ..’ – non-sequitur with the above points
Your ‘audience’ has to have already read your blog in the first place to determine whether they understand it. At which point you have taken (wasted) their time, although it seems to mean nothing to you (‘.. has no concern for me ..’)
On the other hand perhaps in future we should take all your contributions to other threads in the same vein - and then afford them the credibility due to them
Just remember that next time you feel inclined to respond on another thread - don't bother!
If I have help to give, or advice to ask, I use any answers. If anyone is helped by my advice I am rewarded enough, if any deign to assist me I am humbled and forever grateful and will annunciate this appreciation.
My blog makes it clear in the introduction it is not on accounting related topics, on the contrary it seeks to offer relief to this aflliction - therefore, by reading my blog posts, the reader has taken a conscious decision to "waste their time" as you would have it - what a mournful view of life that is, luckily we are not all Nicholas Warleggan's.
It saddens me that there are those that are unable for whatever reason to respect my simple, and as I thought polite, request made there, but such is life.
Unfortunately my happenstance profession (quite understandably) has a larger than usual amount of those who think only in straight lines. I'm with the lion myself - not everything needs a point.
Just in case anyone didn't realise, the OP was rhetorical.

Far too 'subtle' for a simple soul like myself. Please amaze me with your irony.
Its not irony ...
... just musing. You need to follow my blog, it's not hard as there's not many posts.
It is hard ...

I'm not as such ...

Sufficed to say ...
... now D'Artagnan's joined them, the gang truely is all here!
ShirleyM - It's Top Gear :)
I miss Top Gear already - but I admit I am glad about the solidarity that the presenters and original producer have shown to each other.
Restores a bit of faith, given most of the media seems vacuous and entirely self serving.
Interesting to see what follows
Series (the non-daily type) ...
... usually start off with 'In the last episode ....'.
That way, people don't waste their time trying to figure out what has happened to date.
Serves me right for looking at your blog!
I suppose I have to read them all, ignore them, or get as frustrated as hell over the lack of clarity when looking at a single blog.
Lesson learned.
@ Shirley
Don't worry Shirley, I had to trawl back through his posts too. I thought it was going to be about the BBC series The Musketeers but sadly not that interesting.
And as for Top Gear - good riddance.
Agree ...
@Shirley - agree
@OGA - please make it easy for the reader
I know what I mean ...
... does anyone else? Don't really care, so no can do, you don't have to read.
What's the point?
I always thought that a public blog was aimed at the reader. If you don't care whether anyone understands, or even reads, your posts then why do a public blog?

Considering the vast amount of press coverage, you wouldn't have thought anyone would have had to research your previous blogs.

Probably
Hope not ...
... don't get that.
Nor do I...
...but with the wonders of the internet...
