VIP Olympic boycott cocks a snook at Soviet style propaganda

I've said it once and I'll say it again. PeopleGB aren't interested in the Olympics. Now PrivilegeGB are showing that you can't even give the seats away.YOu can ram the message down our throats day and night but if PrivilegeGB aren't paying attention how do you expect the rest of us to fall into place.

Lord Coe is squirming nicely and the rest of us are smugly sitting back and taking it all in our stride. Once again an Olympic festival of sport becomes a festival of cock-ups. The real winners are the cities who failed to succeed in their bid.

Let this be a salutory lesson for future bidders. Steer well clear of such junkets and put in the money you claim is such a wonderful investment directly into building new infrastructure in your own time and the way the locals want it.

At least in this country we have to choice to stay away and ignore the hype and propaganda -  let us rejoice

Are you sure? the stadium looked pretty full over the weekend. I guess you wish you'd waited until today before you'd posted this.

I suspect it is now filling up because those with freebies (family members) have been told to go and use their allocation.

What I wrote was accurate when it was written

Success breeds success , so having a British champion help bring people out, as indeed it probably does in other sports as more medals are won by TeamGB

It is clear form listening to radio phone-ins that there are a lot of people who have little or no interest in the Olympics. I am one of them , which I reckon is something you have worked out by now

I have to put up with it at home though.....

I've been blogging on my website www.formationsdirect.com for some time with my non-PC view of the world of economics, business and other stuff. If you like to read the views of somebody who doesn't "toe the party line" you've come to the right place. Government cock-ups, financial turmoil , business scandals and people's behaviour - I've got something to say about it , whether you like it or not.
