Weight Watchers weigh-in Week 19

I am pleased with today’s dreaded weigh-in result, bearing in mind Friday's evening meal at my favourite restaurant. This was followed by 1 evening of binging.

I have noticed that when I am exhausted I binge on my misunderstanding that this would relax me. It does not. I just feel terrible and guilty after the binge. I realise this now and I will put a stop to it. One advantage of gradual weight loss is that over a period of time I am learning about my bad habits and thinking of ways I can change these

I have started going to the gym. This evening will be my third time in the gym this week. I hope to go three times a week now.

I also use Weight Watchers website to record my weekly weigh –in. I am so pleased that  this week’s recording triggered this message:

“You just hit your 10% weight goal. Great work! Losing 10% of your starting weight may help you lower cholesterol, blood pressure, and diabetes risk; and increase your energy and confidence. Be sure to tell your Leader about your milestone”.

This above message is also backed up by compliments I get from people as to how well I look. It feels so good.

Blogging about my weight loss experience is such a help. There is something in writing things down- it just makes me think and realise where I am going wrong. Also the thought of reporting a gain feels me with such dread! Most importantly, the encouragement and support of AW members cannot be underestimated, Thank you so much all.


This week’s result – Loss .1lb (one pound)

Total Weight loss to date:  20lbs

This week’s Weight: 12 stones 5lbs

Target Weight: 10 stones

Weight left to lose now: 33lbs

Not a direct comparison, but there is a mnemonic that AA (I think) use to identify when we are likely make 'bad decisions'.

HALT stands for Hungry, Angry, Lonely or Tired and if you feel that 'sod it i'll do what I know I shouldn't' sensation, it can be useful to pause & identify if its really for one of those reasons, and do something about the underlying issue, rather than indulging to cover it up.

This blog is intended to reflect the highs and lows that I face day to day working as a sole practitioner.

I tend to blog regularly. I don't know why, but there is a strong need in me to blog my every day experience. I have no idea how long this will last.

All I can say is It helps me to put my thoughts, feelings and views on a blog. When writing I am not too concerned about spelling, grammar or even how I come across. I feel that if I worry about these areas, the subject matter I want to put across will not reflect how I am thinking and feeling at the time.

My blogs reflect the type of person I am. That is the nature of blogging. It is meant to reflect views and thoughts of the blogger.

I will not be to everyone's tastes. Thankfully AW has a good variety of bloggers. This means there are more than likely to be blogs more in keeping with your taste.

I am humbled by the fact that my blog is actually read! Not only this but some readers go as far as commenting.
