I am not happy with the expected weight gain this week. They are various reasons for this:

  1. Easter break meant I was not in the office for the public holiday period. When I am at home I eat more.
  2. Rainy weather and Easter Break meant that I was not able to cycle to the office for 2 days (16 miles)
  3. I have still not mastered portion control. I need to learn to eat slowly and also wait for a few minutes before going for the next portion.
  4. My Iphone was stolen in a coffee bar. I resorted to food to overcome my anger and disappointment.

I am going away for the weekend. I will keep in mind portion control and find ways to be active.

This week’s result – Gained 0.5 (half a pound)

Total Weight loss to date:  23bs

This week’s Weight: 12 stones 2lbs

Target Weight: 10 stones

Weight left to lose now: 29lbs

Keep going!

Half a pound is nothing to worry about. Concentrate on how much you've already lost. You are only a few pounds away from having lost a life changing two stone and refocus on that. See if you can achieve it by mid May.

You've inspired me to join you as my recent comment regarding portion control made me look at mine too! My downfall is cheese and wine (and young kids that make it difficult to fit in exercise) I'd feel alot better if I lost at least a stone.

Have you checked that your target weight is realistic for your height or was that a weight that you were maybe when younger? E.g. when I was much younger I was only 7lb (at birth!) and that just isn't achievable!

Keep up the good work, it looks like you have plenty of people on here willing you on.

Well done

Hi Helen, well done for making a start. I am sure you will do well.

Great that through my blog you have been inspired. It would be good to hear how you are doing. I understand with kids it is difficult.

For my height 10 stones is a heathy. I have never been that weight. So I may stop at 10.5 stones.

Thanks for the your encouragement Helen.
