Will frantic describe the situation adequately?
September 28 - Yes, I know. I've been quiet.
Like most people who can move here and be spared from any other duties I have been on site getting our new contracts underway.
No, before you think we've gone mad - they haven't had me doing practical stuff on the end of kit. Don't be silly! But this customer's client really did want us in action and very quickly. Once we realised why we had to move: a deadline was pressing and they wanted us to meet it.
The big risk? Putting stuff on site and doing work no one had ordered except verbally on the day. So I have been there documenting just what we've been doing and getting sign off hour by hour on what's going in. Their panic is not going to be at our cost. No way! And it's all too easy in this situation for that to happen when squabbles arise later when billing is under way. And that's not my intention. So photos, sign offs, and meticulous recording are the order of the day.
I'm trusted with that.
And we're making money.
Sorry - I can turn my back for a day or two for that.
