May 25  -  The best wishes of CEO's don't always translate easily into action.

AM and East both see the logic of my reorganisation. But - and it's a massive but - when we dedicated a little time to it - and that's all we've managed to find - we immediately ran into trouble.

May 22 - I frequently wonder why the only time I ever find to write these comments these days is when the day is over or when on trains (always my preferred method of travel when possible - and I have the advantage of being able to persuade people to pick me up).

May 16 – Heavens, it’s Wednesday and too much of the week has passed already for me to ever get all I hoped to done.

May 11 - AM has worked hard on the allegation that we were not paying fairly and were discriminating on gender grounds.

May 9 - Talking pay is bound to open a hornet's nest of resentment, and it has. One I had not expected to come up is gender inequality - sex discrimination if you like. Two women in our team have suggested they are not on as good a pay deal as equivalent men.

May 8 – The time has come to acknowledge that the we need to address a key issue in this company – which is pay.

We have a problem with pay. We pay a lot of it. And not always fairly.

April 27 - No one seems surprised at news of the departure of our manager for 'breaches of contractual terms'.

Did they all know?

Was it just the top of the company in the dark? 

If so, what do I do about that?

April 26 - AM and I agonised for hours over what to do on the whistleblowing allegation.

The pattern of behaviour on the account we'd been told about could also be found on another account - run by the same manager.

April 23 – My whistle blower has provided evidence to support the claim that a fraud is going on. The suggestion is that there are kickbacks on discounts.
