The reality is dawning on me.

I've taken a 20% pay cut to do my old job and a new one that so far will not make up the difference. And it's b****y hard work.

Please don't ask me if it's wise. It clearly isn't.

At least I think I'm enjoying it.

Maybe the reward's in heaven. But how can I be sure?

'How can I be sure' is a question you need to ask someone you trust.
From a previous post, (in the last couple of years certainly) I recall you said you could ask 'the Chair' that question. Said ‘tongue-in-cheek’ or not, I suggest you do, before it's too late.
