Making things balance
July 4 - It wasn't long ago I mentioned the problems I anticipated facing about now as a result of losing a major contract.
My big concern was keeping jobs. Well I have kept some by moving some activity to the North where I can undertake more manufacturing.
And we have kept some by changing rotas and by restricting overtime.
We have also had a couple of resignations and poeple have no been replaced. As a result I thought I was just about squaring the circle.
Today I thnk we did that. East landed the order that just aboiut made things balance for now.
But we keep oin wiorking really hard on sales, hiowever difficult they are. I believe in what we do and so do our team. And that seems crucial to me.
Better still, I can focus on the task as a board meeting to approve the accounts has been cancelled. I wrote an extensive report and recommendations and all shareholders/directors have agreed in writing - so no meeting is needed. Phew. That cuts down the personality strains by miles.
