Upping sticks
March 8 – And I thought I’d got everything under control with two companies by the end of last week. Then my wife announced she wants to apply for a new job which will require us to move, but which would be good for schools for the children and will only mean I have to commute roughly the same distance but from the almost opposite direction and my life was thrown into utter turmoil at the weekend.
She was writing a CV. I was searching OFSTED reports and property on the web. Then we were out visiting and trying to persuade the children we always spend weekends looking at houses without thinking about moving, just in case we don’t.
Oh joy of joys at the prospect of all this – though I entirely get why my wife wants to move on, and I want her to.
A lot of my future peace hangs on that interview now – whichever way it goes – assuming she gets shortlisted of course (and I know she will be).
