Little Giants

Once upon a time there was a giant who scared all the little people in the kingdom.  He would walk around trying to find people to talk to, but everyone would run away and hide behind the rocks and other objects.

The times when the giant did find someone he would always ask the same question.  "You are a giant just like me.  Why are you afraid?"

He was clearly stupid or, worse, crazy.  The people of the kingdom were not giants!  That's what they always told each other whenever they discussed the issue.

But one day they noticed they no longer fit inside their houses and everything was getting smaller.  "What's happening?" they thought.  Then they realised.  They had become giants.

Being so grateful to the giant who had always chased them around (he'd obviously worked some kind of magic) they went to find him and thank him for his kindness.  But he was nowhere to be seen.  In fact, no one has ever seen him again.
