Stories which are sometimes funny, sometimes weird, but always entertaining - and just right for bedtime. There might be an underlying business purpose from time to time as well, but you'll have to decide that for yourself.
Peacock Feathers
Once upon a time there was a young peacock, who was sad because he hadn't yet grown any beautiful feathers like his older brother. Being proactive he decided to ask some other birds how he could grow the feathers he needed. But being shy he only asked the smaller and less ostentatious birds.
He asked the crow, "How can I become a beautiful peacock?" But the crow flew away without even answering.
He asked the sparrow, "How can I become a beautiful peacock?" But the sparrow didn't know and couldn't offer any advice.
Finally he tried the blackbird. "How can I become a beautiful peacock?" he asked.
The blackbird looked at him quizzically and asked, "Have you tried asking your brother?"
His brother finally told him the secret. You must ask only those birds with the most beautiful feathers, and each time you ask you will grow another feather to complete your full set.
So each day he asked the most beautiful birds how he could become the best peacock. Every time he asked he found he had grown a stunningly attractive new feather! And the funny thing was, most of the birds he was talking to he already knew. He was just too shy to ask the first time around.
