Your business, your future
By way of introduction, I am Peter Gill, a founding Director of Boreas Partnership (UK) Ltd. I worked for several years as Sales Director at LexisNexis and subsequently at CCH and Croner, two business units within Wolters Kluwer (UK) Ltd. Taking this knowledge and experience, I established the consultancy to provide support to businesses seeking to change, grow and develop.
I work with firms of all sizes that recognise that they must adapt and change to meet client needs, remain ahead of the competition and to attract and retain the best staff.
Investing into the development of people and process requires financial resource, time and expertise. Time and expertise are often the scarce critical factors hence the need to outsource to a third party such as Boreas Partnership (UK) Ltd.
When engaging a third party the payback period can often be very short, within a few weeks has been known, as people embrace the new skills and apply them within the workplace. The return on investment decision becomes an easy one when the staff can increase their contribution this efficiently and effectively.
The approach taken is hands-on. When working with a firm the initial consultancy project varies subject to their specific needs though is always driven by the Partners/Directors.
Workshops are used to ensure that the team benefit from sharing their experiences along with that of the facilitator. Consultative techniques are applied to engage the group in the bespoke programmes designed to meet the specific requirements whether it be managing/coaching people, maintaining and developing client relationships or winning new clients for example.
One specific area of focus has been on developing the soft-skills within the team as it is widely recognised that people are the core asset in business. Businesses do not invest in expensive assets and then ignore the upkeep and maintenance. Why would a business do this with the core asset, the people?
There are a number of excellent support groups providing tools, techniques and ideas to practitioners. The feedback on them is very positive, however, what is sometimes lacking is the hands-on support when trying to implement the ideas taken from a seminar or event. At this point Boreas Partnership (UK) Ltd provides precisely this support, tailored to the individual requirements.
