General practice help in northern ireland

Well Blog, decided today to become proactive in my search for more work!! Went through the local telephone book and extracted a number of names and addresses of accountants locally. I'm sure you can guess what i am going to say now. Yes you got it!! Sent off a number of CVs and a good punchy covering letter, after all that was how i got the work from Robert's practice, so perhaps the formula will work again. Co Antrim is such a bleak place sometimes, both the landscape and the work prospects!!

I don't know what it is about the profession in this country. Are they not willing to give someone a break, just because i haven't gone into the accounts route by the so called traditional way, i still got my degree and worked part time throughout. In the end i was happy with my 2(1) pass. I have years of experience, have done some practice work for a sole practitioner who let me do the work from home which was great. Unfortunately the poor man passed away earlier this year and obviously the work is no longer there.
