Administrators find buyers for HMV and Axminster

Joint administrators of once-ailing music store group HMV have confirmed its sale to restructuring specialists Hilco.

Under the sale, 141 UK stores, including HMV’s head office and distribution functions and over 2,600 jobs will be secured.

In January, Deloitte restructuring partners Nick Edwards, Rob Harding and Neville Kahn were appointed as administrators of HMV, after it announced it could not continue trading outside of an insolvency process.
