It has been about 6 months now since I replaced what I thought and others commented on, was my tacky car wrap (signage). It has been replaced by a wrap that is in fitting with our profession.
The results are poor. I have not had a single call. The previous wrap made me good money. On reflection, this could be because the previous wrap made us look less serious and approachable. Or it could be it made us look cheap. Whatever it was, it worked.
Could it be that the previous signage worked since it was not in fitting with our profession? It was conceived and designed by me. I am no designer. Believe me it really was over the top! At the same time a head turner, you had to look. If ACCA had seen it, I would have been told to remove it since it put the profession in disrepute. The current signage was designed by a graphic designer. It is tame and serious. When a punter looks at it they would probably just say “Oh, another accountant” rather than be intrigued and take action.
Should I design another tacky and over the top car wrap? This will cost about £800 - £1000. I am not sure. Perhaps I should also have QR codes on all sides of the car?
