Is our destiny in Europe at the mercy of the weather ?

In the past few days we've been told that it is neck and neck with all to play for , save for one vital ingredient in the mix .

The great British weather , for so long the ice breaker when meeting strangers is now actually is a position to determine the wealth of  the next generation and the value of your pension tomorrow morning.

Up here in the glorious north it is hot and sunny which should draw the older voters out , in sharp contrast to the London and the South East (or wherever it is south of Watford) . Older people tend to favour Brexit as opposed to the youngsters who love their cheap weekend flights to Europe  who want to Remain but are a fickle bunch .Perhaps it is too hot and they are lounging in the back garden with a can of lager up here?

And those who are undecided - they usually vote for the status quo which means Remain , but of course their vote only counts if they actually vote . Remaining at home is not a vote to Remain , it is apathy .

Too close to call ? Indeed . So why not get out there and enjoy the sunshine , even the EU haven;t found a way of making it illegal (yet) . And if it's raining get out and get wet because our weather is one of the few things the EU cannot meddle with in the event we are stuck with them

I can tell you that it is great down here in the South. Only a little bit of flooding and lots of glorious rain to splash around in.

My home and my office are leaking more than a Chancellors budget proposals and buckets and towels are the order of the day. I might have to cash in the pension to pay for the repairs.

Good job I had a postal vote otherwise I might never have made it to the Polling Station.

How long before an electronic vote I wonder and Polling Stations become just a fond memory of the past. Strictly Come Dancing type voting might become the norm ... "and the winner is ........................................................"

Looks like The Sun's headline will be "It was the weather wot won it " . A rare predictive failure for The Sun ?
