I've not been before but in these recessionary times I wonder if this show will exist in the same form next year. Useful for me but I don't like worrying about the amount of business the exhibitors will pick up from the show. Sage may be the "biggies" here but there is a lot of threat to their business.
One does wonder whether they have chosen to whither...they are not eating their own lunch (not moving more to online at their own expense) but instead are being defensive on their existing solutions. Not clever...if they don't go after themselves then others will do (and look to be doing so).
This was evident in at least one panel session I attended where even a Sage promotor found it hard to defend Sage's approach.
