A few months ago we conducted a survey looking for feedback from our customers. We were delighted to hear that 99% of customers are satisfied with BrightPay and 99% are happy with our excellent customer support they receive. We received many suggestions and comments for new features. Our development team have been working extremely hard to include as many of the frequently requested suggestions as possible for the 2017/18 version of BrightPay. Listed below is a selection of what’s new this year.
Batch RTI
One of the most popular requests from customers was batch processing of RTI, whereby users can send outstanding RTI and CIS submissions to HMRC at the same time. Within the payroll interface, there is an open screen we have added a ‘Batch Operation’ tab, which gives bureaus the ability to pick and choose which companies they would like to include in the batch submission.
Payroll Journal to Accounts Software
Our customers wanted the ability to export payroll journal figures to accounts packages. We have added a ‘Payroll Journal Facility’ to BrightPay, which allows users to create a wages journal from the finalised payslips with pay dates in a chosen date range. This can then import into various accounts packages via csv, including Sage, Xero, Quickbooks, Exact and Kashflow. We are currently working on API integration / direct links with a number of accounts packages to simplify this even further.
Open Screen Personalisation
Our bureau customers like the idea of being able to sort the list of employers on the open screen as they wish to be able to view additional employer information. We have now introduced the ability to do this, where users can sort the list of employers by a column of their choice and choose the columns that they wish to view, including number of employees, auto enrolment staging date, number of unsent submissions, client contact name and client notes.
Setting up / Importing an Employer File
Migrating from another software supplier has been made as seamless as possible. BrightPay has developed a simple employer import feature, where payroll bureaus can now easily import multiple employer files at the same time via CSV.
We have introduced many other payroll features in line with legislative changes, such as support for the scottish rate of income thresholds, the apprenticeship levy, piece work rates, and payrolling of cars.
Why not book a demo of BrightPay to see these impressive features in action? The online demo lasts approx. 30 minutes and looks at everything from setting up an employer, processing payroll on a day to day basis, sending submissions to HMRC, and setting up and processing auto enrolment.
