The NEST API integration is a useful feature within BrightPay payroll software. API means application program interface which basically means that two systems can directly communicate with each other. This facility was developed in BrightPay to make the data management process easier and faster for our customers.

Users can set up their NEST pension pension scheme in BrightPay and then send their data file from within BrightPay software itself. The NEST integration or API tool provides a facility to simply upload your clients pension data by clicking on a link. The data is then sent directly from the payroll software straight through to NEST.

Without the API feature, accountants and payroll bureaus would need to manually export the data file and save it. They would then need to log into the NEST web portal and upload that same data. While it doesn’t represent a whole lot of work when you are looking at one client it can make a massive difference if you are processing automatic enrolment duties for multiple payroll clients.

The NEST API tool allows technology to handle the workload for you. This part of the ongoing automatic enrolment duty process can be done in fewer steps and with better productivity results. BrightPay have been working with NEST to make sending data even simpler than ever. API integration makes the data file submission more straightforward by enabling BrightPay to communicate or ‘talk’ to the NEST pension scheme. NEST states:
