DATE: Real Asset Management (RAM), a specialist provider of component accounting software to the Housing Sector, is a finalist at this year’s Housing Innovation Awards, having been shortlisted in the ‘most innovative IT system’ category. The Awards will honour organisations who are at the forefront of the housing sector, be they landlords, contractors, sub-contractors, suppliers or partner agencies.
Asset4000, part of RAM’s Series4000 offering, is designed to assist Housing Associations in meeting the legislative requirements of the sector, including SORP 2010 and IFRS going forward. Asset4000 can control, track and record changes that occur within an asset’s lifetime, calculate depreciation and maintain a comprehensive audit trail.
Karen Conneely, Group Commercial Manager of RAM comments, “We are very pleased to be a finalist at the 2012 Housing Innovation Awards and this reflects the impact Asset4000 has had on Housing Associations nationwide. With the impending SORP deadline placing immediate demands on the sector, Asset4000 is a proven solution that will ensure compliance by the deadline, regardless of the volume of assets.”
Conneely adds, “It is now imperative for Housing Associations to intelligently monitor their assets and bring them in line with the recommended guidelines. The Asset4000 software saves clients a considerable amount of time and therefore cost. Our consultants utilise both a robust asset accounting solution and a component accounting-specific data service that can provide a clear and justifiable Component Element matrix for senior management and external auditor approval.”
She concludes, “Being shortlisted for such a prestigious award is a great achievement for Real Asset Management. It is reassuring to know that the work we do in the sector is making such an impact and it reinforces the fact that we have a fantastic technology offering for Housing organisations, coupled with very committed, enthusiastic and knowledgeable staff who are dedicated to providing the very best levels of service to our customers.”
