b3 Accounts
Has anybody else out there received a request from the creators of b3 Accounts to run their web based accounts package as part of an evaluation? As there are the dreaded cpd points involved I thought I would give it a go.
Before I share my thoughts, please let me know by replying to this thread if you too are involved, otherwise it's a bit pointless me carrying on!

Thanks ksalter
I've only had the chance to look at it briefly, and as I have more years' book keeping experience than I care to think about I thought I'd try and do some basic book keeping without reading any instructions.
We encourage clients with little or no BK experience to use Quickbooks as it is easily the most intuitive package out there, to the extent that the dreaded Sage is almost forgotten. Using b3 was like a step back in time. I would dread to think what Joe or Jemima Public would make of it, as it took me long enough just to enter a Sales Invoice and all the associated rigmarole. So, first impressions not good, but I'm going to persevere.
Hopefully i'll make a more encouraging report this time tomorrow!

The product seems counter intuitive, and that could be because I have not used Sage for some years, preferring the far simpler (for clients and me) Quickbooks. There are so many glitches (or things that may come more naturally to Sage users!) in this it would take too long to detail here.
In short, after creating all the necessary prime documents, the items did not appear as expected in the financial reports. Even the VAT Return was incorrect.
If you send me a personal message, I'll copy you in on the report I will send to the account program creators.
